In the top right hand corner, there is a save icon, and there is a button at the bottom of the style options panel called "Apply Edits". It is unclear if there is a difference between the function of the two buttons from a user perspective. Both seem to be used to save changes, and there is even a warning message that appears just above the Apply Edits button that reminds the user to click Apply Edits in order to save the changes made.
